President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon
DUSHANBE, 27.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks with the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon on the sidelines of the session of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Dushanbe.
During the meeting the two presidents discussed the current state and future prospects of Tajikistani – Moldovan cooperation.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon welcomed Igor Dodon to Tajikistan and pointed out that “We are interested in strengthening friendly ties with Moldova».
The two sides also discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues and its future prospects, in particular trade, economic and cultural cooperation within the framework of the CIS.
While discussing current international issues, the two sides expressed their satisfaction regarding Tajikistani – Moldovan common position addressing regional and international problems.
Regarding the expanding economic cooperation, the sides particularly deemed it necessary to enhance the activity of Tajikistan and Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The two sides affirmed their readiness on establishment of bilateral links in the export and import of supplies of environmentally healthy fruits, vegetables and honey on the Moldovan market.
Livestock farming, veterinary, cropping and beekeeping farming, and borrowing the experience of Moldovan wine growers and the use of modern technologies were named as important factors in bilateral cooperation.
The sides also expressed their readiness to strengthen people-to-people contacts, humanitarian, scientific, educational and others ties that would benefit the peoples of the two countries.
