Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Attend the Security Council Debate on Countering Financing of Terrorism
DUSHANBE, 29.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the United Nations Security Council Open Debate on Preventing and Combating the Financing of Terrorism yesterday at the UN Headquarters in New York.
Muhriddin underlined the efforts of the government of Tajikistan in countering international terrorism, transnational organized crime and illicit drug trafficking, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“In Tajikistan has approved the National Concept on countering money-laundering and financing of terrorism for 2018-2025, and the plan for its implementation adopted by the decree of the president on 5 March 2018,” noted Muhriddin.
Muhriddin called upon the representatives of the UN states to take an active part in the conference on International and Regional Cooperation on Countering Terrorism and its Financing Through Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime, which will be held on May 16-17 in Dushanbe.
