Tajikistan and Japan Discuss Bilateral Cultural Relations
DUSHANBE, 22.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On Wednesday, the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Obid Nazariyon received a Japanese delegation.
The meeting focused on the development of sports and culture, and the establishment of cultural ties.
The parties also discussed the organization of traditional festivals both in Japan and Tajikistan.
Nazariyon informed guests about Tajik holidays such as Navruz, Mehrgon, atlas and adras, Oshi Palov and other features of Tajik traditions.
Members of the Japanese delegation talked about the Nebuta festival which will be held in Aomori in early August. Nebuta is a festival of lanterns, during which people walk around the city using large lanterns made of fabric, paper and bamboo.
The parties also discussed a plan for the participation of representatives of both countries in the above holidays and festivals.
