Central Asian and Afghan Representatives Discuss Security and Development
DUSHANBE, 12.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Huseinzoda participated in an online-meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and Afghanistan.
The meeting was initiated by the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).
The meeting participants exchanged views on the experience of wide and effective cooperation of the region’s countries, including within the framework of the UNRCCA, as well as relevant and priority areas of joint actions aimed at strengthening security and sustainable development in Central Asia.
Against the spread of COVID-19, Huseinzoda presented information on the measures taken by the government.
While considering the negative impact of this disease on the country’s socio-economic situation, he called on parties to strengthen cooperation in all areas.
