New Settlement Is Completed for Residents Affected by Mudflow Disaster

DUSHANBE, 02.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda opened a new modern settlement, which was built for those affected by mudflows in May.
The ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of the Khatlon region Kurbon Hakimzoda, the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Rustam Nazarzoda, and other officials.
The settlement includes 67 houses and a medical center.
Per Rasulzoda’s suggestion a new constructed settlement was named the 30th Anniversary of State Independence.
It will also include a barbershop, a shopping center and a pharmacy. Roads have been asphalted, 18 wells have been built to supply water to the population, and two transformers and 83 high-voltage poles have been installed.
