DUSHANBE, 04.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – On August 25, the government adopted a resolution on the establishment of Science and Nature television channel, reported the head of the Department for Coordination of Television Programs Ahliddin Solehzoda.
“The channel will broadcast in Tajik and foreign languages 24 hours a day,” said Solehzoda.
The purpose of creating this channel is to familiarize the country’s population with scientific reports, information about the achievements of domestic and foreign scientists, and offer interesting programs for nature lovers.
On March 18 this year, at a meeting with the country’s scientists, President Emomali Rahmon instructed the Committee for Television and Radio to open a new television channel Science and Nature.
It, along with Bahoriston children’s channel, will show programs on natural, exact, mathematical, technical and technological disciplines and for this purpose qualified and experienced teachers will be involved.
The Chairman of the Committee for Television and Radio Nuriddin Said noted in July that the Committee will open two new TV channels — Science and Nature, and Tourism and Folk Crafts. In order to create new channels, regulations and projects were developed, which were sent to the government.
