Deputy FM Huseinzoda Attends OIC Ministerial Council Session

DUSHANBE, 28.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the 47th session of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states started in the Niamey of Niger on the theme United Against Terrorism for Peace and Development.
The Tajik delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Huseynzoda.
The session agenda included strengthening of coordination of the OIC member states in combating terrorism, counteraction to other contemporary threats and challenges, discussion on the way to address topical problems of Muslim countries, the phenomenon of Islamophobia and mechanisms for overcoming it, and expanding interactions with the aim of achieving prosperity, and sustainable development.
The participants emphasized the need to make collective effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and eliminate its consequences.
