Tajikistan and Qatar Hold Meeting of the Joint Working Group

DUSHANBE, 03.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The meeting of the joint working group on the implementation of the agreement between Tajikistan and the Qatar was held in an online format yesterday.
The parties exchanged views on friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries on important social issues. The officials considered it necessary and timely to conduct remote negotiations to stabilize the labor market and create conditions for labor migrants.
The meeting also focused on the issues of organized mobilization of labor migrants from Tajikistan to Qatar, registration and paperwork of labor migrants, protection of rights, improvement of their qualifications, and language learning skills during their labor activity in Qatar.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, developing a joint bilateral action plan is a must.
