Nizom Kosim Re-Elected as Chairman of the Writers’ Union

DUSHANBE, 23.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the 15th Congress of the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan was held at the House of Writers.
The incumbent Chairman Nizom Kosim was re-elected for another five years.
He is the author of fifteen collections of poetry, literary and journalistic articles, a collection of translations of dramas in verse by Sophocles, Shakespeare, Gozzi, and Brecht.
He is also a recipient of the Rudaki State Prize (2006), People’s Poet of Tajikistan (2014), and a laureate of CIS’ interstate Stars of the Commonwealth prize (2018).
He was elected as the chairman of the Writers’ Union in June 30, 2015.
