President Emomali Rahmon Signs Bills into Law

DUSHANBE, 29.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – President Emomali Rahmon signed several bills into laws today. Among them are amendments to the laws on compulsory military responsibilities and military service, training specialists taking into account requirements of the labor market, and on the protection of consumer rights.
The Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Compulsory Military Responsibilities and Military Service” defines the procedure for military registration, conscription, service and other areas of military service. The law also provides for military service as part of the mobilization call-up reserve, according to which citizens of conscription age for voluntary basis are exempted from military service for a set fee of a certain amount, the amount of which is established by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the new amendment to the law on military service, courts, prosecutor’s office, customs, state financial control and fight against corruption, as well as the service of execution can hire candidates only if they have completed their compulsory military service.
