FM Muhriddin Holds a Telephone Conversation with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia

DUSHANBE, 05.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, per initiative of the Armenian side, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin had a telephone conversation with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan.
Muhriddin informed his counterpart about incidents on the border with the Kyrgyz Republic and the agreements reached to stabilize the situation.
He also confirmed Tajikistan’s intention to settle border issues with Kyrgyzstan exclusively through negotiations and a search for mutually acceptable formulas taking into account the country’s national interests.
Ayvazyan welcomed the Tajik-Kyrgyz negotiation process and the reached agreement on the ceasefire.
The ministers also exchanged views on a number of topical issues in Tajik-Armenian relations, and discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization which will be held on May 18-19 in Dushanbe.
