SCO Specialists Discuss the Interstate Agreement on the Protection and Preservation of Objects of Cultural and Historical Heritage

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – An online conference with the participation of specialists from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states to consider the Interstate Agreement on the Protection and Preservation of Cultural and Historical Heritage Sites, chaired by Tajikistan, was held on Wednesday.
The conference was attended by experts and specialists in the protection and preservation of historical and cultural heritage from India, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, and Tajikistan.
The Tajik side was represented by the head of the department for the protection and use of historical and cultural heritage of the Ministry of Culture, a member of the CIS Expert Council Sherali Khojaev.
The agreement, which covers all aspects of protection, storage, restoration, use, promotion and presentation of monuments of the intangible heritage of the SCO member states, was comprehensively analyzed and considered by experts and specialists of the SCO member states and was recommended for approval.
