Tajikistan Receives 40,000 Doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine from Azerbaijan

DUSHANBE, 23.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan received 40,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from Azerbaijan as humanitarian aid, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The ceremony of delivery and acceptance of the vaccine at the Dushanbe International Airport was attended by Adviser to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan Vugar Ibrahimov, Consul of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan Elmaddin Rzayev, head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Department of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population Navruz Jafarov, and Director General of the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population Fayzali Saidzoda.
The delivery of the vaccine from Azerbaijan to Tajikistan is a continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states. This initiative testifies to the good relations between the two countries.
The vaccine is stored in a special warehouse of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and will be distributed among the population according to the plan.
