Trade Turnover Between Tajikistan and Pakistan Increased by 6.3%

DUSHANBE, 11.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda met with the Ambassador of Pakistan Imran Haydar.
The meeting focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation.
He noted that within six months of 2021, there was a gradual restoration of trade between the two states. During this period, the indicator reached $18.9 million, which is an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period in 2020.
The parties expressed confidence that this indicator does not reflect the existing potential between the countries, and there are still many opportunities to increase it.
They named the creation of joint ventures in the textile and pharmaceutical industries and tourism as priority areas of cooperation.
