Bilateral meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Pakistan

DUSHANBE, 25.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On 25 August 2021, a bilateral meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mahdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi who is on a working visit in our country.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further development of cooperation in the field of politics and economics, humanitarian, cooperation in the field of security, partnership within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN and the SCO, and expressed interest in its further strengthening.
The ministers also exchanged views on the difficult situation in Afghanistan and ensuring regional security.
The parties also exchanged views on the upcoming jubilee Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO in Dushanbe on September 16-17 this year.
