FM Muhriddin Meets the President of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly

DUSHANBE, 28.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin, during his working visit to New York to attend the General Debates of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, met with its newly appointed President Abdulla Shahid.
The meeting focused on a range of cooperation issues between Tajikistan and the UN within the General Assembly in various fields, including security, sanitation, socio-economic and humanitarian issues
The parties stressed the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation.
They also discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, the fight against terrorism and extremism, the importance of effectively countering the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and its impact on environment.
