SCO Ambassadors Club Established in London

DUSHANBE, 03.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the working meeting of ambassadors of member states and observers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in London, chaired by the Tajik side, the Club of Ambassadors of this organization was established at the suggestion of Ambassador Masud Khalifazoda, reports the Embassy of Tajikistan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The meeting was held on September 14, during which the Ambassador of Tajikistan to London Masud Khalifazoda briefed the participants on Tajikistan’s presidency in the SCO.
“Also, as part of this meeting, Khalifazoda proposed to establish the SCO Ambassadors Club and to hold its subsequent meetings on a regular basis,” noted the Embassy’s in its message.
The article of the President of Tajikistan, Chairman of the SCO Council of Heads of State in 2021 Emomali Rahmon entitled «Twenty Years of the SCO: Cooperation for Stability and Prosperity,» which was published by Khovar and by the Embassy in book form, was presented to the participants.
The SCO Ambassadors Club is an informal discussion platform aimed at finding new directions, forms and methods of multidisciplinary cooperation within the SCO. A similar club has also been established in the capital of China.
