Azeri Honored Artist Abbasova and Italian Opera Prima Mela Will Arrive in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 25.01.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Afag Abbasova and Italian opera prima Valeria Mela who conquered the Tajiks in May with her triumphant performance will arrive in Dushanbe, reports the press center of Sadriddin Ayni Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
The artists will take part in the LA TRAVIATA International Project.
“Two primas of the theater will perform with the artists of the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. The conductor will be Professor Delfo Menicucci of the Milan Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory. The immortal creation of Giuseppe Verdi — the opera “La Traviata” is being prepared by the theater in the original language,” the source added.
Abbasova is the leading soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, laureate of the international youth award Commonwealth of Debuts, the national Khumai award, the brightest star and modern symbol of the Azerbaijani opera, actively touring the countries of Central Asia, Europe and America. Her name is already widely known in Russia, Belarus, Austria, Germany, France, Great Britain, Turkey, Greece, US, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Moldova. This year, the Giuseppe Verdi Opera House in Italy will host the world premiere of Ottorino Respighi’s work, starring Abbasova.
“Residents and guests of the capital will be able to enjoy the immortal creation of Giuseppe Verdi — the opera “La Traviata” on February 26 and 27. Tickets can be purchased at the theater box office (221-62-91) and on the website echipta.tj,” the theater informed.
