Trends Magazine Reflects President Emomali Rahmon’s Global Water Initiatives

DUSHANBE, 06.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The article titled «The Republic of Tajikistan Leads Global Water Initiatives» was published in the fifth issue of the popular Iranian magazine Trends, which is dedicated to the global initiatives of President Emomali Rahmon in the water sector.
This article describes his four global initiatives, namely the International Year of Fresh water 2003, the International Decade for Action «Water for Life, 2005-2015,» the International Year of Water Cooperation, 2013 and the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028» and emphasizes their great importance in solving global water problems.
The conclusion of the article, published at the initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Tehran, states that the initiatives in the water sector are primarily aimed at strengthening cooperation and regulating relations in this vital area, and inspire new views on the use of water resources not only in the region, but also the world, and pave the way for the achievement of the sustainable development goals.
