Minister of Culture Davlatzoda Announces Inclusion of 19 Monuments of Tajikistan in the ISESCO Material Cultural Heritage List

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Nineteen historical and cultural monuments in Tajikistan are now part of ISESCO Material Cultural Heritage List. These monuments were approved during the 10th meeting of the Islamic World Heritage Committee, which was held from July 4 through 7 this year in the Kingdom of Morocco, announced Minister of Culture Zulfiya Davlatzoda.
The nominal catalogs of these historical and cultural monuments were prepared by the experts of the Ministry of Culture and sent to the central office of the organization through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Of the 19 historical and cultural monuments submitted, two are included in the Main Register of the Islamic World Cultural Heritage, and 17 are included in the Preliminary Register.
