Tajikistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Acceleration of the Implementation of Joint Projects in Water and Energy Sector

DUSHANBE, 15.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 14, on the sidelines of the 60th meeting of the CIS Electricity Council, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma met with the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov.
The meeting focused on the current state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the water and energy sector, as well as issues of accelerating the implementation of joint projects, the development of «green» energy, taking into account small and medium-sized power plants under construction, the construction of new power plants, accession of Tajikistan to the unified energy system of Central Asia, formation of a regional market, production, processing and import of oil and gas from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kazakhstan Khayrullo Ibodzoda.
