Prosecutor General’s Offices of Tajikistan and Qatar Sign Three Agreements

DUSHANBE, 23.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon and Attorney General of the State of Qatar Issa bin Saad Al Juffali Al Nuaimi.
The meeting focused on issues of cooperation in the areas of countering radicalism, extremism, international terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking and other manifestations of transnational organized crime.
As a result of the meeting, three international agreements were signed, including on the extradition of criminals, the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases and the return of convicts to further serve their sentences.
Also, the parties reached an agreement that the capabilities of the Qatari side will be used to increase the intellectual potential of the employees of the Center for the Prevention of Extremism, Terrorism and Cybercrimes of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Tajikistan and the development of its infrastructure.
