Tajik Delegation Attends the Forum of Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and the OSCE Secretary General

DUSHANBE, 01.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 31 in Ashgabat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin took part and spoke at the Forum of Foreign Ministers of Central Asian Countries and the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
Muhriddin drew the attention of the forum participants to the position of the Government of Tajikistan on key issues of cooperation within the three dimensions of the OSCE — military-political, economic-environmental and human.
He emphasized the need to take joint measures to strengthen security in the OSCE region.
Also on the sidelines of the forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan met with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid.
The parties discussed key issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the OSCE, including the situation in the region and Afghanistan, the fight against terrorism and cooperation on water and climate issues.
