DUSHANBE, 06.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 6, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received in the Palace of the Nation the President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Chang Won Sam.
During the meeting, the issues of Tajikistan’s cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency were discussed.
The President of the country called the Republic of Korea a reliable partner of Tajikistan in East Asia, and KOICA as an important institution for strengthening this partnership.
The 29% increase in the volume of trade between the two countries in 7 months of this year was called a trend that is worth supporting.
During the conversation, cooperation in the implementation of various projects was discussed, including in the fields of energy, transport, industry, small and medium entrepreneurship, digitization, public administration and human development.
Cooperation in the fields of education, health, agriculture and water management, environmental protection, emergency situations and ensuring sustainable development was also evaluated as effective.
There was also an exchange of views on important issues of bilateral cooperation, such as the training of highly qualified personnel, the increase in the production of «green energy», the development of «green economy», the creation of «technoparks», the introduction of «digital technologies» and the expansion of «electronic commerce».
