DUSHANBE, 18.02.2025 (NIAT Khovar) — On February 15, the Oncology Center of the Sughd Region under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted the ceremony of presenting a modern Digital X-ray machine.
This equipment was provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) through the NLO Office of Tajikistan — Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
The modern X-ray machine will enable timely and accurate diagnoses of oncological diseases. Its use at the Center will facilitate early detection of diseases and ensure that patients receive prompt treatment.
Additionally, it should be noted that by the support of the IAEA a Center’s specialist completed a one-year fellowship at the National Oncology Center in Baku.
Most IAEA projects focus on enhancing and providing modern diagnostics in oncology centers in Tajikistan.
