On October 20, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, put in commission a new industrial town in the northern part of the Ismoili Somoni district of the capital, launching the activities of 3 large industrial enterprises of CJSC Suntiles with more than 650 jobs and laying the foundation stone for the construction of 3 other production plants.
With the completion of the other three enterprises, the foundation stone of which has already been laid, the number of workers in this town will reach about 1,200 people, of whom more than 300 will be women and girls.
It should be noted that the salaries of workers range from 4,500 to 12,000 thousand somoni.
The foundation stone of these three enterprises and the industrial town, which were put into operation in a short period of time, was laid by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali.
The three enterprises that were put into operation in the new industrial town were built by generous domestic entrepreneurs at a cost of almost 800 million somoni, using new equipment and technologies in the sector, which are environmentally friendly and safe.
The total cost of these three commissioned enterprises and three other enterprises that will be built in a short period of time will be nearly 2 billion somoni.
The first of the three commissioned enterprises is equipped with two technological and production lines for the manufacturing of ceramics, tiles and seranite, the products of which are both import-substituting and export-oriented.
The annual production capacity of ceramics, tiles and seranite at the enterprise is 6.5 million square meters, of which 3.5 million square meters are seranite.
As mentioned, more than 10 million square meters of ceramics, tiles and seranite are imported to Tajikistan from abroad every year, and now more than 65 percent of the country’s demand for these products is met by this enterprise.
The ceramics, tiles and seranite enterprise, whose products are decorated with various designs and patterns and national and international patterns, uses 11 types of raw materials, all of which are available from within the country at relatively low cost, and this factor leads to a decrease in the original cost of the product and a decrease in its price on the market.
This enterprise is equipped with modern production equipment and machinery that meet international requirements, and modern digital technology is used throughout the production line.
The cost of construction and preparation of this enterprise alone is 500 million somoni.
The enterprise has its own testing laboratory, where, using advanced equipment, 40 women and girls test the quality of both raw materials and finished products and their compliance with standard requirements. This laboratory can also test all other minerals.
The second enterprise, which was put into operation, is aimed at the production of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks (AAC), and was put into operation at a cost of 150 million somoni.
The enterprise’s AAC fully comply with international standards, are three times lighter than conventional bricks, and also do not transmit sound, heat, or cold. Lime is mainly used as raw material in the production of AAC.
All production equipment and machinery of the enterprise are imported from developed foreign countries, and its products meet international standards.
This type of AAC is also an import substitute and will be exported in the future.
The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 250 thousand cubic meters of AAC, which meets more than 30% of the needs of the city of Dushanbe.
The AAC of this enterprise do not burn in fire, do not conduct heat and cold, and their original cost is low, and their selling price is relatively cheap and affordable.
The third enterprise, built in the village of Kharangon, Varzob district, was opened by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali.
The enterprise was built at a cost of 100 million somoni, and its production capacity is 80 thousand tons of lime per year.
Lime production is carried out in an environmentally friendly and harmless manner, and it is widely used in industrial enterprises of the country, including in the metallurgical sector and in the production of lightweight building bricks.
The products of each of the three commissioned enterprises are import-substituting, meet standard requirements, and are also cheaper than current market prices. Therefore, entrepreneurs and users of the products can turn to these domestic companies.
After commissioning the 3 enterprises and familiarizing themselves with their products, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali laid the foundation stone for the construction of 3 more industrial enterprises of Crystal Green Glass LLC, each of which will be engaged in the production of import-substituting and export products using modern machinery, equipment, and technologies. The construction of these 3 enterprises should be completed within a year and a half.
Each enterprise, one of which is intended for the production and enrichment of quartz, the second for panel glass, and the third for the production of glass containers, forms an interconnected chain, as they use each other’s products in the production process.
The enterprises will be quite large-scale, as they will be prepared at a cost of about 1 billion 200 million somoni.
150 million somoni will be allocated for the construction of a quartz plant, 650 million somoni for a glass panel plant, and 380 million somoni for a glass container plant, all of which are funds from domestic entrepreneurs.
It is worth noting that a quartz production and enrichment plant, the products of which will be used in various industrial and technological sectors, will be built for the first time in Tajikistan. This plant will lead the country to a new technological stage, as enriched quartz will be used in the production of various types of glass, ceramics, electrical and electronic and optical devices, high-quality lenses, ultrasound generators, communications equipment, and in the jewelry sector.
Quartz coatings are also useful for protecting car paint from the effects of sunlight, cold, and humidity.
The plant’s capacity is designed to produce 130 thousand tons of quartz.
The second plant is designed to produce glass panels, which was built at a cost of 650 million somoni, and its annual capacity is 10 million square meters of glass of various diameters and sizes.
The glass panels of this plant are produced from enriched quartz from a neighboring plant, and are technologically high-quality products with a very wide range of applications. The glass of this plant is used not only in the construction of buildings and structures, but also in various electrical, electronic and optical equipment and machinery, and in general high-tech production.
The plant for the production of panel glass is the first of its kind in Tajikistan, and its products will have various sizes, volumes, thicknesses, and colors.
The plant has the ability to produce and offer its customers tempered, fire-resistant, heat-resistant and cold-resistant panel glass in black, iodized colors according to order.
Installing such glass in the windows of factories and residential buildings, in particular, will protect household items and furniture from the negative effects of the sun.
The glass of this plant is also environmentally and technologically safe and harmless, because it does not break or shatter into sharp fragments when dropped or hit.
The third plant, the foundation stone of which was laid, is intended for the production of various glass containers for beverages, food and other household needs.
The glass containers of this plant are completely modern and completely different from the previous products used in the past. Moreover, these containers are environmentally friendly, and meet the modern requirements, where the use of plastic containers is being abandoned.
Most importantly, a glass waste recycling plant will also be built at the glass plant, which will be an example of «green» production with its environmental significance.
The plant will be equipped with a production capacity of 45 million liters of glass containers of various sizes and capacities per year. This volume of production will allow Tajikistan to fully satisfy its needs for glass containers, since, according to statistics, about 40 million liters of this product are currently imported from abroad annually.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that solar panels will be installed on the roofs of each of the three plants under construction, which will generate 90 thousand kW of electricity.
This new industrial town will also have its own source of electricity with a capacity of 30 thousand kW, since the heat generated in the furnaces for the production of products will also be used to generate electricity.
For this purpose, steam turbines will be installed here, which will use the heat from the 200-meter-long furnaces of the plants to generate electricity.
The electricity generated in these two ways in this industrial town, which will be equal to 12 MW, will meet 80% of its needs, which will reduce the original cost of the product.
The enterprises of this industrial town use the heat of coal-fired gas to cook and melt their products. This work is also carried out using high-tech technologies and is environmentally friendly and safe.
It was reported that this new industrial town will be built on an area of more than 37 hectares of land that had previously been turned into a huge industrial and construction landfill. 25 hectares of this land will be used for construction.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Executive Body of State Power of the city of Dushanbe and domestic entrepreneurs for this worthy and constructive initiative, and noted with pleasure that now a beautiful, attractive, and technically and technologically exemplary town is being built here, which is a testament to the new industrial, economic, and social development of our beloved Tajikistan.
