Tajikistan Issued 77,215 Visas to Foreign Citizens in 2025

DUSHANBE, 09.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued 77,215 visas to foreign citizens in 2025, Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin said on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference in Dushanbe, Mukhriddin said the ministry also reviewed 602 requests from legal entities and individuals during the year.
He said the ministry issued 611,468 international passports to Tajik citizens, provided 523,092 national identity cards, certified 1,487 documents for individuals and legal entities, and affixed 14,851 apostilles to citizens’ documents.
Mukhriddin said the ministry continued work within its mandate to develop consular relations with foreign countries, protect the rights and interests of Tajik citizens and legal entities abroad, and ensure the timely issuance of passports, visas and other consular services.
He said that in 2025 the ministry prepared and submitted 67 draft documents in various areas for consideration by the government and the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Tajikistan’s lower house of parliament. A further 36 documents were submitted to the government for onward transmission to parliament for ratification.
Mukhriddin said that a total of 128 international documents were signed with foreign partners during the reporting period, of which 17 entered into force.
