Tajikistan Presents Digital Transport Roadmap at CIS Meeting

Tajikistan presented a draft roadmap for implementing a strategy to digitalize major multimodal transport corridors of the Commonwealth of Independent States at the 16th meeting of the CIS Council for Transport Information.

According to Tajikistan’s Ministry of Transport, the roadmap is expected to be submitted to the CIS Economic Council for approval.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of transport-related agreements and other documents adopted by CIS governing bodies to strengthen cooperation in transport infrastructure and improve international connectivity.

Participants discussed the Strategy for the Digitalization of the Main Multimodal Transport Corridors of the CIS Member States, the Action Plan for Improving Infrastructure and Developing International Transport Corridors through 2030, the implementation plan for the strategy’s second stage covering 2026-2030, and the CIS Economic Development Strategy through 2030.

Kazakhstan proposed creating a unified digital transport and logistics map of the CIS, while Uzbekistan presented a draft concept for establishing information and logistics centers. Russia presented projects aimed at digitally transforming its transport sector and showcased modern technologies and practical solutions.

The Russian Transport University also announced an international session on training specialists for the digital transformation of the transport sector. The session will be held as part of the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference on Digital Transport and Logistics Technologies.
