SCO Secretary General meets the Pakistan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs
Dushanbe, 02.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”).- The meeting of SCO Secretary General Rashid Alimov with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Tariq Fatemi took place on February 2 in Beijing.
During the meeting the parties in a constructive atmosphere have discussed the issues of practical cooperation on preparation for the SCO Summit in Tashkent. It was noted that the SCO is going through an important period of its history, which began 15 years ago, as well as was stated the increased prestige and the weight of the SCO in global affairs.
R. Alimov said that Pakistan plays an important role in the world and the region, and over 10 years as an observer making a great contribution to the activity of Organization.
Tariq Fatemi assured the SCO Secretary General that Pakistan would continue to contribute to the overall efforts of the SCO Member States in the fight against new challenges and threats, in the development of economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
