On September 22, continuing his working visit to Sughd Province, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, officially commissioned the State Institution “Khujand Family and Child Support Center” by unveiling a commemorative plaque.

The new building of the State Institution “Khujand Family and Child Support Center,” named “Navniholi Vatan” (Sapling of the Homeland), was constructed in honor of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan on the premises of the State Specialized Medical Institution “Khujand Children’s Home.”

Construction of this social facility began in October 2025. As a patriotic initiative by domestic entrepreneurs, it was built by Kairakkum Carpets LLC, featuring an attractive design, high-quality construction, and modern infrastructure for providing services to children.

The new facility includes rehabilitation rooms, separate rooms for full-time and short-term groups, a mother-and-child department, a sports hall, an assembly hall, a cafeteria, and other auxiliary facilities equipped with extensive services and rehabilitation opportunities for children.

Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the Navniholi Vatan Khujand Family and Child Support Center, equipped with modern rehabilitation and service facilities, will contribute to the intellectual, physical, emotional, and cultural development of persons with disabilities, children who have lost both parents, and other vulnerable groups of minors. It will also appropriately ensure children’s rights to care, healthcare, education, upbringing, and development.

The institution operates within the framework of national sectoral strategies and programs, with the aim of providing social support to children who have lost both parents, offering medical and intellectual rehabilitation, and providing social assistance to children with disabilities. Its services will cover 75 children.

During a meeting with sector officials and employees of the institution, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, stated that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is taking timely measures to ensure better living conditions for children who have lost both parents and children with disabilities. He emphasized that the state will continue to provide constant attention, care, support, and patronage to this vulnerable segment of society until they enter independent life.

The institution is equipped with a modern heating system to provide warmth during the autumn and winter seasons, a children’s playground with various amenities, and recreational gazebos for children. The grounds of the social institution have also been landscaped with ornamental trees and evergreen shrubs.

With the commencement of operations of the State Institution “Khujand Family and Child Support Center,” 70 healthcare and social-sector employees have been provided with permanent employment.
