Training course for Tajik-Afghan border officials completed in Dushanbe
Dushanbe, 18.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — Eleven border officials from national training institutions of Tajikistan and Afghanistan completed a week-long train-the-trainer course on February 17 at the OSCE Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe, focusing on modern instructional methods.
According to OSCE Office in Dushanbe, these methods incorporate elements such as lesson planning, appropriate teaching strategies, identifying student needs and training resources. Border instructors also enhanced their training delivery skills through the Explanation, Demonstration, Imitation, and Practice (EDIP) approach.
During the course, which was co-organized with the EU-funded, UNDP-implemented Border Management Northern Afghanistan (BOMNAF) project, participants were able to showcase their presentation skills and receive feedback from international experts.
