Tajikistan and Asian Development Bank discussed prospects for cooperation in the energy sector
DUSHANBE, 15.02.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Fayziddin Qahhorzoda met with the Director of the Energy Division of the Asian Development Bank Ashok Bhargava on February 12 in Dushanbe. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the secretariat of the Ministry of Finance of the country.
According to the source, the meeting discussed the current projects of the Asian Development Bank and prospects for cooperation in the energy sector of the country. It was paid special attention to the issues of reforming the energy sector of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The two parties expressed mutual interest in further cooperation to achieve the energy independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Following the meeting F. Qahhorzoda expressed confidence in the long-term and fruitful development of cooperation with the Asian Development Bank, and emphasized the importance of implementing the forthcoming programs.
