DUSHANBE, July 26, 2026 (NIAT Khovar) — Tajikistan’s airline company “Shohin Airlines” has announced an order for four Airbus A320neo family aircraft, marking the carrier’s first purchase agreement with Airbus.
The order includes two A320neo and two A321neo aircraft, which will enable the airline to expand its regional and international flight operations and develop a broader route network.
Registered in Tajikistan in June 2025, Shohin Airlines aims to establish a strong brand and represent the country in the global aviation market.
The A320neo aircraft will feature 176 passenger seats, while the A321neo will accommodate 196 passengers in business and economy classes. The new aircraft are expected to enhance connectivity, improve passenger comfort and support the development of Tajistan’s civil aviation sector.
“Signing the first agreement with Airbus is an important milestone not only for Shohin Airlines but also for Tajikistan’s civil aviation,” the company’s Director General Zafar Ahmadzoda said. He added that the A320neo family would become the foundation of a modern, efficient and environmentally friendly fleet.
The Airbus A320 family is one of the world’s most popular narrow-body aircraft series, with more than 20,000 orders globally. The A320neo family provides over 20 percent fuel savings and reduced CO₂ emissions compared with previous-generation aircraft, while offering enhanced passenger comfort due to its spacious cabin design.
