Tajikistan will take part in the Dubai World Expo 2020
DUSHANBE, 28.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The organizational and technical issues of participation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Dubai World Expo 2020 were discussed at the meeting of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, Commissioner General of the National Exposition of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Dubai World EXPO 2020 Sharif Said with the Deputy President of EXPO 2020 Omar Shihad, reports the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The parties discussed the design and construction of the pavilion, the provision and installation of equipment, customs procedures, tax duties, transport support, transportation of exhibition goods, social and living conditions for personnel. In addition, the program of cultural and business events, which will be held within the framework of the National Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the organization of business meetings of business circles were discussed.
The main theme of the World EXPO 2020 is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. There are three sub-themes: opportunity, mobility and sustainable development.
World Expo 2020 will be held from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021 in Dubai (UAE) – for the first time in the history of the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. It will be attended by more than 180 countries, international organizations, large corporations and companies. It is expected that the EXPO 2020 will be visited by more than 25 million guests, 70% of whom will be from abroad. This will be the first ever World EXPO, where most visitors will be foreigners.
The meeting was held in Dubai and was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Arab Emirates Bahodur Sharifi, Director of the Department for International Participants of the EXPO 2020 André Dorado and Country Manager of EXPO 2020 Ali Gulyaev.
