DUSHANBE, 18.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Two Tajik football clubs Khujand and Istiklol completed their second matches in the round of the group stage of the AFC Cup 2019 in the central zone in Group D, reports the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

Khujand FC defeated the Kyrgyz champion Dordoy FC with the score of 3:1. Dilshod Vosiev scored two goals and Jahongir Ergashev scored one by penalty. This match took place at The 20th Anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan on Wednesday in Khujand.

In another group match, Istiklol FC tied with last year’s AFC Cup 2019 finalist Altyn Asyr FC in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Sheriddin Boboev scored the only goal for Istiklol.

In the third round on April 30, Khujand FC will play against Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr FC at The 20th Anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan stadium in Khujand. The same day, Istiklol FC will face Kyrgyz Dordoy FC at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe at 19:00.

Currently, Istiklol FC leads with four points. Khujand FC ranks second with three points. Altyn Asyr FC follows with two points and Dordoy FC is last with one point.
