Electricity Exports Reach Over a Billion kWh in the First Six Months of 2019
DUSHANBE, 15.07.2019. (NIAT Khovar) –From January through June, Tajikistan has exported 1.257 kWh of electricity, reported the Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda at a press conference focusing on the ministry’s activities.
In total, 10.13 billion kWh of electricity has been produced in the republic within the same timeframe.
“The main producers are Barki Tochik, which has produced 8.74 billion kWh, Sangtuda-1 HPP,- 1.28 billion kWh, Sangtut-2 HPP- 443.9 million kWh, and Pamir Energy, which has produced 104.4 million kWh,” noted Usmonzoda.
Currently, nine investment projects are being implemented totaling $1.2 billion, of which $467.5 million are grants, $726.6 million are loans and nearly $19 million a direct contribution of Tajikistan.
