Tajik Football U-16 Team Arrived in Jordan for Asian Championship 2020 Qualifiers
DUSHANBE, 13.09.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The junior national football team of Tajikistan (U-16) arrived in Jordan for the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship 2020 in Group A, which will be held from September 14 through September 22, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
The Tajik team’s head coach Ahliddin Turdiev brought 23 players to Amman, including three goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and four forwards.
The Tajik team will play against Jordan, Kuwait, Sri Lanka and Nepal in the Asain Championship qualifiers.
Tajik juniors will play their first qualifying match on Monday against Sri Lanka at 19:00 Dushanbe time.
Forty-seven teams will participate in the qualifying tournament, which, according to the results of the draw, have been divided into eleven groups. Six groups have been formed in the West zone, and five groups in the East zone.
According to the results of the qualifying tournament, a total of fifteen teams will get the berth to the Asian Championship 2020.
