Tajik Youth Football Team (U-19) Advances to the Asian U-19 Championship 2020
DUSHANBE, 07.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The youth football team of Tajikistan (U-19) won three games in the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship 2020 in group C.
In the final round, Tajik youth beat their Syrian peers with a score of 1-0. The winning goal was scored by Shahrom Samiev in the 23rd minute, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
Earlier in the qualifying tournament, the Tajik youth defeated the Maldivian with a score of 9-0 and Lebanon with a score of 1-0.
Now with 9 points, the Tajik team ranks first place in Group C. It will move on to play in the Asian U-19 Championship 2020, which will be held in Uzbekistan.
Another 14 participants of the Asian Championship will be determined on November 10 after completing the qualifying tournament in 10 groups.
