Russia Remains the Main Supplier of Petroleum Products
DUSHANBE, 14.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Over the last six month, Tajik domestic oil and gas companies produced a total of 12,132 tonnes of oil and 354,000 cubic meters of natural gas. This was announced yesterday at a press conference by the Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Jamshed Shoimzoda.
According to him, the volume of production of petroleum products has increased by 2.5%.
Meanwhile, according to the data mentioned by him, for the first half of this year, local enterprises specializing in the supply of fuel and lubricants delivered have 577, 883 tonnes of oil products, including 120,965 tonnes of gasoline, 140,860 tonnes of diesel fuel, 22,060 tonnes of jet fuel , 1,749 tonnes of fuel oil, 35,203 tonnes of bitumen, 8,259 tons of lubricants and 227,177 tonnes of liquefied natural gas.
Russia, however, remains the main supplier of petroleum products to Tajikistan.
“Besides Russia, oil products are also supplied from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other countries,” concluded Shoimzoda.
