Working Trips of President Emomali Rahmon to Khujand and Jabbor Rasulov

DUSHANBE, 16.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Khujand has attended the opening ceremony of the Khujand textile sewing factory.
The factory was provided with the state-of-the-art equipment made in China, Russia, and Italy; it is capable of producing 60,000 sets of school uniforms per year and it will employ 200 people in two shifts. The products will be aimed at domestic market and will be exported to Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
The Company has 7 workshops, including spinning, weaving, dyeing and processing of threads and fabrics, production of various clothes.
There, on the territory of the workshop, he visited an exhibition of products manufactured by this workshop: school uniforms, medical gowns, protective masks, sterile fabrics and clothing for surgical operations and an exhibition of folk crafts, where the works of masters of Khujand, Buston, Guliston and Bobojon Ghafurov district were presented.
The sewing factory was built on the basis of the implementation of the fourth national goal — the rapid industrialization of the country.
This was followed by an opening ceremony of a nine storey residential building with 32 apartments for employees of the Department of the State Committee for National Security in Sughd Province, which in turn was followed by the opening ceremony of a Somon Plaza International Trade Center at Ismoili Somoni street of Khujand.
A business centre that takes up 9 floors was built by the initiative of domestic entrepreneur Mukimjon Huseinov, where favorable working conditions are created for domestic and foreign companies.
While learning about Sughd Province Strategy of Economic Development through 2030 and the results of the work of scientists and young entrepreneurs in the field of information technologies, President Rahmon has inaugurated Amonullo Orifov Centre for Cardiac Surgery Diseases, provided with modern medical devices and equipment worth TJK 6 million. The 200-bed medical centre will employ more than 300 doctors and medical personnel.
During his working trip to the Bobojon Ghafurov, President Emomali Rahmon visited Nozimjon Usmonov House-Museum and examined several exhibits, devoted to the history and the cultural heritage of our nation. The collection of items consists of over 1,500 exhibits. Among them are pieces of art (historical monument paintings, graphics and sculptures) antique household items and printed and documentary sources dating back to 17th-18th centuries.
In addition, President Emomali Rahmon visited Dehkoni Nav Farm that has 8.22 hectares of land, involved in planting, cultivating and the husbandry of crops and horticulture in Jabbor Rasulov. While familiarizing himself with the pomegranate orchard and the course of vegetation of re-sowing crops, President Rahmon also toured the Exhibition of Agricultural Products, which showcased local products and achievements in the agriculture sector as well as Handmade and National Cuisine Exhibitions.
In the village of Mekhrobod, Jabbor Rasulov district, Emomali Rahmon laid the foundation stone and started construction work at the glass and glassware production company Sughd Quartz.
The enterprise will be established through domestic and foreign investments. For the production of products, mainly quartz sand, limestone and dolomite will be used, which are completely mined in the country’s deposits.
