Ghani Congratulates President Emomali Rahmon On His Re-Election as President of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 12.10.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani at the initiative of the Afghan side.
President Ghani congratulated President Rahmon on his re-election and wished him health and new achievements in his state activities.
Noting the special contribution of President Rahmon to the development and strengthening of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, President Ghani expressed his confidence that good-neighborly relations between Tajikistan and Afghanistan will continue to expand in all areas of mutual interest.
Continuing the discussion, the heads of both states touched upon various issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as regional and international matters.
