Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Requests UNDP to Focus Support for Strategic Goals Implementation

DUSHANBE, 24.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda requested the UNDP to focus support for the implementation of strategic goals, priorities of the government of Tajikistan and government programs. Hisnrequest was made on February 22 during a meeting with the UNDP Resident Representative in Tajikistan Pratibha Mehta.
Mehta noted that UNDP is ready to provide support in this matter, as well as to develop cooperation in attracting additional grants for the implementation of state programs of Tajikistan.
The parties also exchanged views on the measures taken by the government to prevent the impact of external threats to the economy of Tajikistan, in particular, in the fight against COVID-19.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation.
