DUSHANBE, 19.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Defeating the Uzbek club AGMK with a score of 3-2, Istiklol claimed its first historic victory at the 2021 AFC Champions League Group Stage.
Manuchehr Jalilov and Muhammadjon Rahimov scored goals for Istiklol. Another goal was scored by AGMK footballers themselves.
Earlier, Istiklol tied against Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai.
Following the results of two rounds, Al-Hilal and Istiklol with four points each share the leadership in Group A.
In the third round, on April 21 at 22:00 local time (00:00 Dushanbe time), Istiklol will meet with the Al-Hilal club from Saudi Arabia, which in 2019 became the winner of the AFC Champions League.
