Dushanbe Will Host the SCO International Half Marathon This Weekend

DUSHANBE, 11.06.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) International Half Marathon will be held on June 13 in Dushanbe.
The length of the distance is 21 kilometers 97 meters. The half marathon starts near the Kariyai Bolo Overpass of Ismoil Somoni Avenue and ends at Ismoil Somoni Square. Registration of participants will begin at 08:00. Those interested must register on June 11-12, as well as submit a medical certificate.
Individuals, employees of enterprises and organizations, as well as domestic and foreign institutions can take part in the SCO International Half Marathon. Both women and men can take part in the event.
The winners will receive medals and cash prizes (from $ 300 through $ 1,500).
The International Half Marathon is organized within the framework of Tajikistan’s presidency in the SCO, the purpose of which is to strengthen cooperation between the member states of the organization through international sports events, the development of domestic and foreign tourism, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the attraction of the population to physical education and sports.
