Tajikistan and Russia Hold Working Meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 16.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 15, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk chaired a working meeting of the Tajik-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation via videoconference.
The meeting focused on issues of trade and economic cooperation, creation of joint industrial enterprises, attraction of investments, energy, financing, migration, agriculture, science, education, culture, and other issues.
They emphasized that at the time of the spread of COVID-19, in order to protect public health and develop healthcare, good cooperation was established between Tajikistan and Russia and urgent measures were taken to develop the economic and social spheres.
As part of the successful policies of the heads of both states and the legal framework of the existing treaties and agreements, it was considered necessary to implement plans and strategies in order to further develop cooperation in areas of interest.
