DUSHANBE, 27.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The film Water Boy (Bachai Obi) by Tajik director Faizullo Faizov was shown at the Eurasian Film Festival in London and received the Audience Choice Award, reports the Embassy of Tajikistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The award was presented to the Embassy of Tajikistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, whose employees represented Tajikistan at the festival.

The award will later be sent to Dushanbe.

The premiere of Water Boy took place on October 16, 2020 at the Kokhi Navruz cinema in Dushanbe in honor of the 90th anniversary of TojikFilm.

The author of the idea is Bakhtiyor Khudoynazarov, and screenwriters are Nosir Rahmon and Faizullo Faizov. The main roles are played by Ubaidullo Omon, Mehrojiddin Safar, Ahmad Kutbiddin, and Soro Sobir.

Winning the Audience Choice Award testifies to the great interest that people today show in the problem of water shortage and its careful storage and use around the world and, of course, is a worthy gift from Tajik cinema to the Second High-Level Conference on International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development», 2018-2028, which will be held from June 6 through June 9, 2022 in Dushanbe.
