Tajik Athlete Takes Fifth Place at the World U-17 Wrestling Championship

DUSHANBE, 01.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik athlete Muhammadamin Abdulloev (80 kg) took fifth place in freestyle wrestling at the World U-17 Wrestling Championship.
In the one-eighth final, he defeated the Swiss athlete Noah Schwaller, in the quarterfinals representative of Armenia Papin Hunanyan, in the semifinals the Iranian athlete Reza Sulaymoniyon, and in the fight for third place he lost to the athlete from the US Zachary Rieder.
The tournament was held from July 25 through July 31 in Rome. It was attended by 597 athletes (419 boys, 178 girls) from 54 countries.
In June at the Asian U-17 Wrestling Championship in Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulloev won a silver medal.
