Three Tajik Athletes Will Compete in the Semi-Finals of the Asian U22 Boxing Championship

DUSHANBE, 23.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, three Tajik boxers will compete in the semi-finals of the Asian U22 Boxing Championship in Bangkok.
Tajik boxer Dovud Mahkamov in the 71 kg weight category will compete with Sabyrzhan Akkalykov from Kazakhstan for reaching the final. Another Tajik athlete Abdumalik Boltaev in the weight of 75 kg will fight against the Uzbek boxer Alokhan Abdulloev. Then another Tajik boxer Shahbaz Khaitov (weight 80 kg) will enter the ring against the representative of China Rehemandu Khalimulati in the semifinal match.
Since January 18, Bangkok hosts the Asian U-22 Boxing Championship, in which seven Tajik athletes are taking part.
Totally, 243 athletes from 21 countries are participating in the tournament.
The Boxing Federation of Tajikistan sent 6 men and 1 woman, including they are Khusravkhon Rahimov (- 57 kg), Abubakr Murodzoda (– 60 kg), Dovud Mahkamov (- 71 kg), Abdumalik Boltaev (- 75 kg), Shahboz Haitov (- 80 kg), Asadbek Mannonov (+ 92 kg) and Bibinishastamo Kholova (- 60 kg).
