Tajik Judokas Nurali and Mahmadbekov Return from Tashkent with Gold and Bronze Medals

DUSHANBE, 10.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On the night of March 9, Tajik athletes returned to Dushanbe after participating in the Tashkent Judo Grand Slam 2023 with one gold and one bronze medal.
On the first day of the tournament, Tajik wrestler Emomali Nurali won a gold medal in the weight category up to 66 kg.
The bronze medal of the tournament was won by Somon Mahmadbekov in the weight category up to 81 kg.
The Tashkent Judo Grand Slam 2023 was held from March 3 through March 5 with the participation of 384 athletes, including 205 men and 179 women from 52 countries.
Tajikistan was represented by 13 athletes, including 11 men, and 2 women.
Winners in each weight category received a prize of €5,000, winners of silver medals — €3,000, and bronze medals — €1,500.
