Tajik Boxer Reaches the Next Round of the 2023 IBA Men’s World Boxing Championships in Tashkent

DUSHANBE, 05.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The 2023 IBA Men’s World Boxing Championships continues in Tashkent. Yesterday Tajikistan was represented by three boxers Mehron Shafiev (48kg), Bahodur Usmonov (63.5kg) and Muhammad Abroriddinov (+91kg).
Usmonov defeated his rival from Jordan Obada Al-Kasbeh by decision of the judges (3- 0), and reached the third round.
The tournament ended for Shafiev and Abroriddinov, who respectively lost to their rivals from India.
Thus, since the beginning of the tournament, five Tajik boxers, including Mehron Shafiev, Abubakr Murodzoda, Dovud Mahkamov, Shabbos Negmatulloev and Muhammad Abroriddinov, completed their performance.
